Introduction
Established on 26 July 1984, the main functions of the Maaleatholhu Atoll Council is to carry out all the functions assigned to the Atoll Council by the Decentralization of Administrative Areas Act, and to work with the government in providing basic services to the people of the province, to plan and implement measures to develop and promote the province, to provide sustainable services to the people through the various government institutions through the Atoll Council, and to resolve issues raised by the people.

26 ޖުލައި 1984 ގައި އުފެދުނު، މާލެއަތޮޅު އަތޮޅުކައުންސިލުން ކުރަމުންދާ މައިގަނޑު މަސައްކަތަކީ ދިވެހިރާއްޖޭގެ އިދާރީ ދާއިރާތައް ލަމާރުކަޒީ އުޞޫލުން ހިންގުމުގެ ޤާނޫނުން އަތޮޅު ކައުންސިލަށް މަތިކޮށްފައިވާ އެންމެހާ މަސައްކަތްތައް ހިންގުމާއި، ކ. އަތޮޅު ރައްޔިތުންނަށް ބޭނުންވާ އަސާސީ ޚިދުމަތް ފޯރުކޮށް ދިނުމުގައި ސަރުކާރާއެކު މަސައްކަތް ކުރުމާއި، އަތޮޅު ތަރައްޤީކޮށް ކުރިއެރުވުމަށްޓަކައި ކުރަންޖެހޭ ކަންކަން ރާވާ ހިންގުމާއި، ސަރުކާރުގެ އެކި މުއައްސަސާތަކުން އަތޮޅު ކައުންސިލް މެދުވެރިކޮށް ރައްޔިތުންނަށް ދިނުމަށް ކަނޑައަޅާ ޚިދުމަތްތައް ދެމެހެއްޓެނިވި ގޮތެއްގައި ދިނުމާއި، ރައްޔިތުންގެ ފަރާތުން ހުށަހެޅޭ މައްސަލަތައް ހައްލުކޮށް ދިނުމެވެ.

Council Anniversary Celebration
The 12th Quran Competition took place in November with participation from nine villages in the province. The event was live-streamed on the agency's Facebook page, gaining over 700 views and increasing in popularity. Organized annually by the Malay Atoll Council, the competition plays a significant role in promoting cultural and religious values within the community.
މިކައުންސިލްގެ 12 ވަނަ ޤުރުޢާން މުބާރާތް ވަނީ ނޮވެންބަރ 4 ގައި ބޭއްވިފައެވެ. މިމުބާރާތުގައި އަތޮޅުގެ 9 ރަށުން ބައިވެރިވެފައިވެއެވެ. މިމުބާރާތް ވަނީ މި އިދާރާގެ ފޭސްބުކް ޕޭޖުން ލައިވް ކުރެވިފައެވެ. އަދި މުބާރާތުގެ މަޤުބޫލުކަން އިތުރުވެފައިވާވަރު ލައިވް ބެއްލެވި އަދަދުން އެނގިގެން ދިޔައެވެ. ލައިވް ސްޓރީމަށް 700 އަށްވުރެ ގިނަ ވިއު ލިބިފައި ވެއެވެ. މިމުބާރާތަކީ މާލެ އަތޮޅު އަތޮޅުކައުންސިލުން ކޮންމެ އަހަރަކުވެސް ބާއްވަމުން އަންނަ މުބާރާތެކެވެ.
