K. Hura is about 9 miles from the male' city. It takes 25 minutes by speed boat. The island is located south of Four Seasons Resort (K. Kudahura) in the eastern part of the province. The island has a registered population of 1302 people. The island, which had an unregistered population of about 1,200, now covers an area of 42 hectares and has a population of more than 2500 So far, 264 plots have been allocated for residential purposes and 202 plots are occupied. There is also a very beautiful Swamp (salt water swamp) in this village. The forest is home to many species of fish. The forest is also home to beautiful colorful crabs. The swamp (called the Hura River) contains a rare species of protected tree. It is said that this species is currently found in a village in Bali, Indonesia and in the Hura swamp. The forest is protected by the EPA. K.Hura was the first island in 1972 when tourism was introduced in Maldives.
ކ.ހުރާ އަކީ މާލެއާއި ގާތްގަޑަކަށް 9 މޭލު މޭލު ދުރުގައި އޮންނަ ރަށެކެވެ. ސްޕީޑް ލޯންޗެއްގައިދާނަމަ 25 މިނެޓުން މާލެދެވޭހާ ދުރުމިނެކެވެ. އަތޮޅުގެ އިރުމަތީ ބުތުގައި ފޯރސީޒަން ރިޒޯރޓް(ކ.ކުޑަހުރާ) ގެ ދެކުނުން ކުލަބުމެޑް ކަނިފިނޮޅު ރިޒޯރޓްގެ ދެކުނުން އޮންނަ މި ރަށުގެ މިހާރުގެ ރަޖިސްޓްރީ އާބާދީއަކީ 1302 މީހުންނެވެ. ރަޖިސްޓްރީ ނުވެ ގާތްގަޑަކަށް 1200 މީހުން ދިރިއުޅޫ މިރަށުގެ ބޮޑުމިނުގައި މިހާރު 42 ހެކްޓަރ ހުންނަ މި ރަށުގައި ގާތްގަޑަކަށް 2500 ށް ވުރެ ގިނަމީހުން ދިރިއުޅެމުންދެއެވެ. މިރަށުން މިހާތަނަށް މީހުން ދިރިއުޅުމަށް 264 ގޯތި ދޫކުރެވި އަދި 202 ގޯތީގައި މީހުން ދިރިއުޅެއެވެ. އަދި މިރަށުގައި ވަރަށް ރީތި ކުޅި(ލޮނުފެން ކުޅި) އެއް އޮވެއެވެ. މިކުޅީގައި ބޭގު ޑިގާ އަދި ވަރަށް ގިނަ ވައްތަރުގެ މަސް އުޅެއެވެ. އަދި މިކުޅީގައި ވަރަށް ރީތި އެކިކުލަކުލައިގެ ކަކުނި ދިރިއުޅެއެވެ.އަދި މި ކުޅީގައި (ހުރާމީހުން ކިޔާގޮތުން ހުރާ ކޯރު) ދުނިޔެއިން ވަރަށް މަދުންނޫނީ ނުފެންނަ ހިމާޔަތް ކުރެވިފައިވާ ރަނޑޫ ގަހުގެ ބާވަތެއް ހުރެއެވެ. ބުނެވޭ ގޮތުގައި މިވައްތަރުގެ ރަނޑޫގަސް މިވަގުތު ހުރީ އިންޑޮނޭޝިޔާގެ ބާލީގެ ރަށެއްގައާއި އަދި ކ.ހުރާ ކުޅީގައެވެ. މިކުޅިއަކީ އީޕީއޭ އިން ޙިމާޔަތް ކޮށްފައިވާ ކުޅިއެކެވެ. ކ.ހުރާ އަކީ 1972 ގައި ރާއްޖެއަށް ފަތުރު ވެރިކަން ތައާރަފް ވީއިރު ފަތުރުވެރީން އެންމެ ފުރަތަމަ ރަށުގެ ގޭގޭގައި ލޯކަލް ޓޫރިޒަމު ހިންގި ފުރަތަމަ ރަށެވެ.
